July 1, the program officer of the academy of sciences for the developing world （TWAS）Peter McGrath visited RCEES in accompany with FENG Kai (the program officer of Division of International Organizations). Deputy Director of RCEES ZHUANG Xuliang, professor YIN Chengqing, and Professor WANG Dongsheng, associate professor, international students and relevant staffs attended this meeting. Professor YIN made an introduction report entitled CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Water and Environment. The report presented current development situation and the challenge in the future for CAS-TWAS CEWE.  Peter McGrath expressed that TWAS would like to provide necessary helps and human resource for the development of CAS-TWAS CEWE and steady the long term sustainably cooperation relationship.
  TWAS is an autonomous international organization, based in Trieste, Italy, that promotes scientific excellence for sustainable development in the South. Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (RCEES), in conjunction with TWAS estimated CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Water and Environment(CAS-TWAS CEWE).
